IP Range

The IP addresses in an IPv4 range.

Hint: The grep command can be used to find if any of the IPs in the range is present in the firewall rules, access logs etc. Examples:
  • iptables -L -n | grep '10\.22[4-7]\.'
  • grep '10\.22[4-7]\.' /var/log/apache2/access_log
The IP range can be specified with one or more of space or hyphen as separator. Or specify the number of IPs in the range with a hash or comma after the start IP. Examples:
  • 192.168.1.33-46
  • 10.10.112.1 - 127.254
  • 10.10.112.1-10.10.127.254
  • 10.10.120.1 123.254
  • 172.16.200.97#14
  • 192.168.1.145 , 6
